CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) is one of the compulsory documents needed for international students applying for a student visa in Australia. It is issued by the education provider and specifies the details of the applicant as well as the course.
If you are enrolled in a package course of more than 1 course, you will be issued CoE individually for each course. You can apply to 2 or more courses as long as they are related and the next course is higher than the previous one, for example: Package of Certificate IV in Business + Diploma of Business. Please refer to this AQF (Australian Qualification Framework) website for the course levels information.
To get the CoE, you need to engage with the education agent or the education provider directly and start the application process. When you have met the requirements, including paying the requested fee & providing the necessary documents, the education provider will issue the CoE so you can proceed to the next step, which is visa application.
As mentioned above, if you failed to comply with any of those requirements, the education provider will send a warning letter to you and also invite you to have a study intervention strategy to fix your issue. If you did not respond or after multiple interventions you still failed to meet the requirement, the education provider must cancel your enrolment and notify the immigration about the reason for your cancellation.
